HOW TO KNOW CHRIST

There are just 4 simple truths you need to know.

 

1.  God Loves You - God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. The following verses will explain:

    " ...we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1

    "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 - Sin separates us from God.

    "For all have sinnedand fall short of the glory of God...the wages of sin is death." Romans 3:23; 6:23 "

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." Isaiah 59:2

 

2.  There is an Answer - Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem of separation from God.  He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, rose from the dead and thereby purchased eternal life for us, which He offers us as a free gift.

    "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6"

    "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

 

3.  Make the Answer Yours - We can receive Jesus Christ when we believe in His message and trust in Him alone to save us.

    "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." John 1:12

    "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:13-14

Here's How:

Admit your need (I am a sinner).

Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).

Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.

Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in to your life by trusting in Christ alone for salvation (receive Him as Savior).

 

4.  Pray

    Dear Jesus,

    I confess I am a sinner.

    I believe you died to pay for my sins.

    I believe you rose from the dead, proving you are God.

    Please come into my life right now.

    I want to follow you forever.  Amen
